Purple is my favorite color. It used to be yellow, its opposite. I was a materialist, then. Then, in 1966, I became a mystic. I went in the opposite direction. Whether that did me any good or not, I don't know. But it provided my life with purpose which I didn't really have when I was a materialist. And I noticed my favorite color became purple too then, switching to the opposite of yellow.

Yellow is related to the solar plexus, the power center of the body. If you get punched there, your power goes out. Martial artists focus on it. It helps us dominate the world. Even though my favorite color was yellow, I didn't dominate my world too well. It is also a mental color though, and I was a good student and a fast and voluminous reader. Yellow is bright and cheery, like sunshine.

Purple is the color of the crown chakra, the top of your head and above, where we connect to divine and universal Spirit, and bring it down like rain to nourish our being. Purple is an extraordinary color, rich and elaborate, infinite in depth, mysterious and mystical, and inspiring. It reminds me of my new purpose since 1966, to be more conscious, and learn about the deeper levels of Being.
